  • What do I need to do if my pipes are leaking?

    If it is hot water, there will be an isolation tap at the water heater's base. Turn it clockwise and then turn on a hot tap to release the pressure from the water heater. Then call Scott Plumbing Services Pty Ltd 02 4739 9675. If the water heater is leaking, use the same procedure and turn off the power to the heater, you will find a switch in the meter box.   • How do I shut off the cold water?

    There is a valve at the meter at the front of the property for cold water. Turn the tap clockwise. If the leak is inside the home, turn on an external hose tap, so the water runs outside.

  • What do I do if I have no hot water or if the water coming out of the hot tap is not hot?

  • How can I turn the cold water off if I live in a home unit?

    If you are in a home unit, your shut off valve will usually be under the laundry tub, low down on a laundry wall, or under the kitchen sink.   • What do I do if I smell gas?

    Go to the gas meter and turn the handle, so it is across the direction of the pipe. Then phone Call Scott Plumbing Services Pty Ltd 02 4739 9675.

  • My single lever mixer tap is leaking. What do I do?

    This type of tap, commonly known as mixer tap, usually has two isolation taps in the cupboard underneath it. Just turn them clockwise to isolate the water.   • I have a blocked toilet. What do I do?

    There will be an isolation tap at the bottom right or left side of the toilet. Turn it clockwise to isolate the water. If this fails to stop the water running, turn the water off at the water meter at the front of the property. Then call Scott Plumbing Services Pty Ltd 02 4739 9675.
